Relaxing Bath Fizzie Recipe
If you find a recipe with Citric Acid acid, know that it is harsh to the skin and causes dryness. You can replace citric acid with Cream of Tartar.
2 cups of baking soda
1 cup of cream of tartar
6 tablespoons of Epsom salt
4 mixing bowls
Essential Oil(s) your preference: Lavender, chamomile, wild orange, rose or rosemary
Dried Lavender and or chamomile, rose
Coconut Oil or olive oil
Spray bottle with water
Silicone ice cube mold, or other container for shaping & molding
Mix the baking soda, cream of tartar, epsom salt in large bowl and separate into four bowls. Customize the scents, if you prefer all lavender or maybe only two scents, you can separate into two bowls equally. Add 1 teaspoon of dried flowers/herbs (lavender for lavender bath fizzie, etc.), and then add 20 drops of essential oil for each fragrented, therapeutic fizzie. Rosemary: 1 tablespoon rosemary dried herbs and 20 drops of peppermint essential oil. Add coconut oil and thoroughly combine the powder mix with oil until it compresses easily and clumps. Add some dried flowers, or related herbs to your molding container (ice cube tray, bowls, etc.) Pack mix firmly into the mold. Let dry for 24 hours. After drying, carefully release them from their mold and allow to dry for another 24 hours. Then wrap them, or put them in a basket, bag or box to give as a gift! Enjoy! (Yield depends upon size of molds) Keep out of reach of children.
